The China Trade Week (CTW) series was inspired by at the One Belt, One Road Initiative and has so far been a huge success. It started in 2013 at The United Arab Emirates which was warmly welcomed by the local business community. It was then followed by its first African event in Kenya which had an even bigger response. CTW was encouraged by the African Union to expand its scope, as a result, CTW is now hosted in Ghana, Morocco, Iran and South Africa , a total of 6 events in 2017 with the intention of adding more countries every year along the One Belt, One Road route.
Last year, CTW was introduced in Ghana and it had an amazing result as we had over 3500 visitors during our first edition. For the second consecutive year, China Trade Week is set for its bigger and better edition in Ghana. This year, we will be having over 100 exhibitors from industries including Construction Materials & Machinery, Lighting & Energy, Clothing & Textiles, Electrical Goods & Electronics, Automotive Parts & Accessories, Baby & Infant Products, Health & Beauty, Print, Packaging & Plastic, and Agriculture & Agricultural Machinery.
CTW will be taking place at the Kempinski Hotel from 7 th -9 th May, 9:00-18:00 daily. The event will serve as a perfect platform for the local business community to meet Chinese manufacturers face-to-face and take advantage of the event's high quality, competitively priced products. It will also give them the opportunity to talk and develop the foundations of trading and business relationships. For the 3-day event, there will be seminars to give visitors a background information on how to effectively do business with China.
